Refund Policy

Due to non-recoverable costs, each registration includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. Given two weeks notice, we will refund the remainder of your registration. We will not provide any refund with less than two weeks notice. Exchange of equal value is possible, subject to availability. 

Camps > Science & Engineering


Join us for an amazing science and engineering adventure! These week-long camps (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) introduce biology, chemistry, physics and engineering concepts in a fun, hands-on approach. There are two different streams of Science & Engineering Camps: Stream A and Stream B. This provides campers an opportunity to attend two different weeks of camp without repeating any material! 

This program is divided into three groups based on the grade your child is entering in the Fall:

  • Junior Scientist (Grade 1)
  • Undergrads (Grade 2)
  • Grads 1/Grads 2 (Grades 3/4)
  • Masters (Grade 5/6)

Projects

To keep our programs innovative and fun, our team designs new projects every summer. This means retuning campers will be ensured a new experience. From experiments in the lab to engineering design challenges, activities are diverse to peek the interest of everyone.  Past projects have included: egg crash cars, gravity sticks, pop bottle rockets, and cow heart dissection.  

Science & Engineering - Chemistry *NEW*

Join UVic's very own Natia Frank, Associate Professor in Chemistry, along with SV instructors for a unique week of camp. This camp is designed for chemistry lovers and will feature week-long experiments in the lab.  

This program will be offered for 1 week during the summer:

  • Science & Engineering Gr. 3/4 (Class 2) - July 23-27, 2012

Pricing

The cost of a week-long Science & Engineering Camp is $185.  Registration opens April 2, 2012.
